In the Atlanta Zoo, the giant panda Lun Lun gave birth to a baby is going to be huge in the future, but “now has a size similar to a mobile phone”, announced the zoo.
“This new birth of a panda in captivity is a great achievement of the global effort to save an endangered species,” said in a statement the zoo. No more babies born in 2010 in the United States.
According to the zoo, there are about 1,600 pandas living in the wild, 280 pandas live in zoos and 11 of them are in the United States.
Lun Lun is a female of 13 years and had three offspring with this latest panda birth’s Father Yang is a male of 13 years. They had their babies through artificial insemination.
Dwight Lawson, a director of the zoo said: “We are delighted with the arrival of the third bear with Lun Lun and Yang Yang and proud of the success of the zoo’s giant pandas in Atlanta.”Number of View :1005
