Jamaica’s Top Digicel Premier League (DPL) under sixteen players are set to play their National counterparts at 3 pm today, May 7 at Waterhouse Mini Football Stadium. The much-anticipated match will conclude the two day Digicel Kick Start Clinics, which began on Wednesday, May 6 at the Stadium.
John Barnes, who signed on for the second year as coach of the Clinics, is more than optimistic about Digicel’s youth football development programme. “Last year’s clinics were a huge success,” he commented. “This year, we again have the top players from all the local clubs undergoing training. The boys are very talented and very dedicated,” he continued, “and we’re looking forward to a competitive and exciting game on Thursday.”
